Prakash Joshi was born in Uganda and comes from a family of musicians. His father Vinod Joshi and uncle Rupshankar Joshi are both fine Musicians.

Prakash is married to Darshana, Graduate from Mumbai University (Owner of a coffee-shop and a fantastic cook) and have three children, Ronak (22), toured Europe when he was 17, Tejaswini (21) wants to be a nurse and Milan (20), wants to be a Social worker.
